‘The Cleverest Thief highlights the need for a deeper insight into this devastating condition. A necessary tale, a brave performance’
SOUTH KIRKBY MINERS WELFARE CLUB, South Kirkby, West Yorkshire 20 May 2016
Very emotive and well acted play.
It was like looking back through the journey of my grandad’s dementia – explaining the fear, the fun and the emotion.
SOUTHGATE COMMUNITY CENTRE, Bury St Edmunds 22 April 2016
A brilliantly written, must see, personable, thought provoking performance, from a truly talented actress.
Very gripping. Kept my interest throughout.
Brilliant, exposing, confronting.
Very well acted. You feel part of the story.
Insightful, moving, thought provoking.
A very moving portrayal; made me laugh and cry.
Excellent show, thought provoking, yet thoroughly enjoyable.
This gave a different reality, – from the point of view of the person with dementia.
TRISTAN BATES THEATRE Covent Garden 22 February 2016
Very honest, truthful portrayal.
I can’t praise it enough, from the quality of your acting to the portrayal of all the people in the situation.

Touching, honest, and written and performed without a hint of pretentiousness.
JESUS LANE QUAKER MEETING HOUSE, Cambridge 24 October 2015
The play takes us convincingly into the mind and spirit of the central character, a woman with dementia. A spellbinding performance
Funny and moving.
Unmissable.
WETHERBY TOWN HALL, 16 October 2015
She captured everything in that play.
It must be so well researched.
The lady in the play was just like my mum.
FRIARGATE MEETING HOUSE , YORK 28 and 30 September 2015
It resonated with my experience of demetia with my family and my patients.
Authenticity – drew an emotional response.
It was real – different emotions in quick succession.
Dementia from a different point of view – (that of the sufferer).
Dementia played out in a realistic way – fabulous.
ACKWORTH PARISH HALL 22th May 2015
I liked how personal it was. As if I was the only person in the room. It was a great performance.
Very moving to be alongside someone struggling so bravely and cheerfully with dementia.
It appeared very personal and direct.
A mirror of what my experiences with my mum were.
Fantastic show. So real.
A riveting account of the most insidious disease, quite frightening. I liked the portrayal by Libby of all the parts. I also liked the simplicity of the production.
I loved the whole show.
It made us realise this could happen to any one of us. Dementia is no respecter of class or intelligence.
A wonderful show that humorously expressed the journey into dementia with compassion and humanity.
It brought back so many memories of my mum and my mum-in-law
No-one knows if and when it will happen to them. Just be kind to anyone who suffers.
Libby is excellent. Her performance very poignant. Having had a relative who suffered with it – very true to life.
So touching, great performance. Very upsetting to think that there are people with very little compassion caring for people suffering with this illness.
PREVIEW PERFORMANCES ARTS@TRINITY, LEEDS May 1st and 7th 2015
